By far one of my favorite pieces. Fantasia Number 10. This piece for
classical guitar solo was written by Alonso Mudarra in the 16th
century. He was a composer way beyond his time. He wrote this piece
to try to imitate the harp. At the end of the piece, a series of "wrong
notes" are played, specifically noted by Mudarra, "If played well, they
don't sound bad." This is of course amazing that he was experimenting
with dissonance at such an early time in history. He was without a
doubt a genius and way beyond his time.
